Jim Quinn, RYT 200
Jim found yoga when he finally accepted his arthritic knees could no longer tolerate the pounding of distance running. He was initially drawn to the physical challenge of yoga, but soon realized something deeper and more profound was occurring. He recognized the same mind body connection he had experienced on long solo runs with the focus and synchronicity of breath and movement of vinyasa yoga, and he committed to the practice with the zeal of a convert. He has been teaching since obtaining his 200-hour certification in 2016.
Jim is a regular guy who happens to love yoga, and his teaching style reflects this love and enthusiasm. He believes yoga is for everybody, and it is his goal to help his students open the same door that he stepped through. He is the father of two adult daughters, and lives in Old Lyme with his cat and dog. He makes his living as a lawyer.
